SEASON SYNOPSIS: The junior varsity girls’ soccer team embarked on a season filled with growth and resilience. With a mix of returning players and eager newcomers, the team focused on mastering the basics, understanding game rules, and learning new positions. Despite a challenging start, including two early losses to Lawrence High School (0-7) and Clarke High School (0-3), the players stayed determined. In a hard-fought game against Valley Stream High School, a senior suffered an ACL injury, and a last-minute goal handed the team a narrow 2-1 defeat. However, they bounced back, achieving hard-earned 3-3 ties in rematches against Lawrence and Clarke. The season wrapped up with another close 2-1 loss to Valley Stream, but by then, the team had made remarkable progress. Through effective communication and teamwork, the returning players demonstrated leadership, and the newcomers rose to the challenge, proving their value on the field.
