Academy Charter School’s CTE Business Leaders

The Academy Charter School’s CTE Business Management & Entrepreneurship students excelled at the Annual Virtual Enterprise International Business Competition, hosted at Long Island University. Competing against approximately 1,500 high schools from the region, our teams won three gold medals – a tremendous accomplishment that showcases their creativity, skill, and professionalism.

A major shout goes to all of our amazing scholars, who worked so hard and competed well against their regional peers.

The Winners:

  • Best Sales Pitch – 10th Grade Team (Budget Buddy): This team’s business concept provides financial planning and budgeting tools tailored for new entrepreneurs. Their pitch impressed the judges with its clarity and practical value.
  • Best Sales Pitch – 12th Grade Team (Scrap Society): Their innovative business model focuses on upcycling and recycling textiles to create new streetwear, simultaneously reducing landfill waste. The state judge panel highlighted this pitch for its strong environmental and social impact.
  • Best Booth Design (Marketing) – 11th Grade Team: This team presented a business concept centered on deploying emergency response robots to assist as first responders, aiming to reduce ER wait times. Their marketing presentation and booth design were recognized for creativity and vision.
