The Annual International Fundraising Golf Tournament is The Academy Charter Schools signature initiative. With a primary focus designed to support the Academy’s Capital Campaign which raises funds to expand CTE-enriched programs, the 2nd annual tournament was a huge success.
In addition to a fundraising event, the tournament also featured a reception and dinner. The dinner was also a chance for the Academy Charter School to honor esteemed members of the community: Waylyn Hobbs, Mayor of Village of Hempstead, Kevan Abrahams, Former Nassau County Legislator, Bishop Frank Anthony White and Dr. Michele Reed.
The event was a true a testament to the power of community and collaboration. The generosity
of all sponsors contributed to the mission of equipping underserved and minority students across Long Island with the academic foundation, career pathways, and enrichment opportunities they need to thrive in college, careers, and life.
