Scholars to Seniors: Bridging the Generational Gap. Throughout the month of March, the Academy has been embarking on 30 Days of Random Peace and Kindness. In a heartwarming piece of our Peace and Kindness initiative, the Academy Charter School – Hempstead scholars Amy Anna Henderson (Student Council President) and Cyndi Orr (Student Council Vice President) presented Mrs. Saromi from Nassau Rehabilitation with the cards to give to our beloved senior citizens. Through handwritten cards filled with heartfelt messages, our world-class scholars are extending a ray of sunshine to the elderly, reminding them that they are cherished and valued members of our society.
